We also provide guidance, standards and support to our installation appropriated fund and non-appropriated fund food operations. We serve over 91 million meals a year operating from more than 277 facilities around the world. We provide every type of food service from full-service dining to our much appreciated deployment kitchens for our Airmen when they are deployed.
What We Offer
Feeding the Force is fundamental to a fit force. We constantly strive to provide the best when it comes to :
- Meals to enlisted members residing in dormitories
- A training environment for food service personnel to meet the war-fighting mission
- Flight meal service in support of daily operations
Providing food to Airmen and family members creates well-being and is offered through our many clubs, snack-bars and free standing food facilities.
Who Can Use Appropriated Fund Dining
Use of the APF dining facilities is restricted to enlisted members and those individuals authorized by the installation commander to meet mission requirements.
The award inspires high morale, motivation, mission support, and a professional image through a spirited competition.
Traveling teams of military and civilian Air Force food specialists and premiere industry associations evaluate the food service at competing bases. The program is sponsored by the National Restaurant Association and award ceremony presentations are held in Chicago in May of each year.
