About Us

Who We Are

The Air Force Outdoor Recreation Program provides oversight and guidance to Air Force installations around the globe to encourage sound morale, welfare and recreational programs for our active duty members, families, and other eligible personnel. Our programs are well-rounded, safe and exciting and cover a broad spectrum of outdoor activities.

Our installation Outdoor Recreation Program provide expertly managed recreational activities and outings, as well as professionally-trained and knowledgeable recreation staff. We’ve got information; equipment and access you need to get outdoors and enjoy your local natural resources.

What We Do

Our diverse range of Outdoor Recreation activities includes:

Camping:

Tent, pop-up, or RV. Whatever your set up, “rough it” in the great outdoors.

Equipment Rental:

Learn a new skill without the big equipment expense. We’ve got the gear you need to enjoy the great outdoors.

Hiking:

Navigate the foot trails and explore the back country. Venture along creeks, up snow-covered peaks, and experience panoramic views.

Rafting/Kayaking:

Get wet. Or not. Float, paddle or roll. Enjoy nature’s beauty as you make your way downstream.

Mountain Biking:

Pedal your way to fitness through meadows, fields, and forests. We’ve got gradual and exposed climbs, suitable for beginners and experienced riders alike.

Marina/Boating:

Fishing, swimming, tubing, or cruising. You’re the captain, so get out on the water.

Rock Climbing:

It’s a battle with gravity. And you win.

Aquatics:

Jump in, the water’s fine. Swim a few laps. Take a class. Throw a pool party.

Skiing/Snowboarding:

Shred some powder on one board or two.

Fishing:

Don’t talk about the one that got away. Catch a bigger one. Go fish.

Disc Golf:

Leave your clubs, but grab your Frisbee. We’ve got the courses. You bring your “A” game.

Other Activities:

Paintball, Dive Shop, Riding Center, Rod/Gun/Skeet, Skate Park, Surfing, Land Sailing, and more, depending upon your location (availability depends on the geography, climate and natural resources at each base).
