Teen Leadership Camp

The Air Force Teen Leadership Camp is a 5-day residential program which provides youth a glimpse of what university life is like while developing their leadership skills.  Activities include team building, high/low ropes course, conflict resolution, public speaking, and more.

Participants are selected through a competitive application process

Eligibility & Application

Application: The Air Force Teen Leadership Camp will be in San Antonio, TX.

  • OCONUS participants may arrive on Sunday, 12 Jul 15 and depart between  0800-1200 on Friday, 17 Jul 15.
  • CONUS participants arrive in San Antonio, Texas on Monday, 13 Jul 15 no later than 1500 and depart between 0900-1300 on Friday, 17 Jul 15.
  • Participants driving to the camp should arrive between 1300-1500 on Monday 13 Jul 15 and depart between 0800-1200 on Friday, 17 Jul 15.

Cost: Lodging, meals, and activity fees are centrally funded beginning with dinner on Monday, 13 Jul 15.  Airfare or POV travel costs are the responsibility of the attendee or installation.  Spending money for other miscellaneous expenses is the responsibility of the participant.

Eligible Applicants: The applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Active Duty Military assigned to or living on an AF installation
  • AF Retired Military
  • AF Civilian Employees
  • Activated Air National Guard or AF Reserve
  • Joint Bases (AF lead) Active Duty, and Civilian employees
  • High school students who’ve completed their freshmen year prior to the camp and are interested in developing leadership skills

Submission Instructions: Please read carefully, nominations not completed properly will not be accepted.

  1. Submit completed nomination forms to your Youth Programs Director, Guard representative (if applicable), or designee to set up an interview.
  2. After the interview process has been completed, Youth Programs staff or designee will forward nominations to their respective MAJCOM or SVI representatives.
  3. AFSVA/SVPY must receive all completed applications by 15 Apr 15.
