What could be better than this?

What could be better than meeting the woman of your dreams, getting a free three year honeymoon to Europe, having your first baby boy, and getting four consecutive promotions at work in just four short years? I have the answer for you: Not a whole lot! None of these things would have come to be if I had not joined the Air Force in 2005. We’re talking about some of the most life changing, unexplainable and amazing things that I would not have in my life if not for my service to the country. What’s best is that I have received all of these blessings and more, all while serving our great nation. The Air Force has provided my family with so much, and it feels good to know that I do all that I can to return the favor. I like to live by the “work hard, play hard” attitude. I have built my family during my time in the service, but I have deployed and sacrificed time with my own family so that other men and women are free to do the same. Working hard and making a few sacrifices is what provides freedom to all Americans, and I am proud to be a part of a force that provides our nation with security. The Air Force has given me the opportunity to make friends from around the world, exploring regions I most likely would have never had the privilege to see, all while giving me the satisfaction of performing a job that is honorable. It is a feeling that is hard to explain, but you can see it when you look into the eyes of your family members. Family and freedom are what “The Air Force Life” means to me.
