My Air Force Life As A Military Spouse

God has blessed me with an amazing husband! He is an awesome dad, a loving spouse, a great provider and a loyal Airman. One of the first questions I get when I meet a new person and they find out my husband is in the Air Force is, "Wow! What's it like to be an Air Force wife?" Well, here's a little glimpse into "My Air Force Life"! Proud, proud, proud! My heart swells with pride when I reflect on the commitment my husband has made to serve our country. I remember the overwhelming joy to find out he made it through boot camp, the happiness when he graduated from school with flying colors, the excitement when we received our first set of orders, the dignity I saw on his face at his first advancement ceremony. Worry, worry, worry! My heart breaks as I think back on the tearful goodbyes as we moved away from family and friends, the apprehension of walking into a group of people where I knew no one, the fear when he was handed his first set of deployment orders and I knew I would have to say good bye, the uncertainty of his safety and the longs nights of wondering if he is okay. The concern about whether or not our relationship would be the same when he returned home. Love, love, love! But what it all comes down to is LOVE! He is my husband and I am his wife. We are one. Through this Air Force journey we have grown closer, learned to communicate better, have stayed committed to each other and have supported one another through thick and thin. "My Air Force Life" is my beautiful life because I am living it with the best husband a girl could ever dream of!
