From the Streets to Living with a Purpose

The Air Force means living life with a purpose. I was living on the streets when I decided to call a recruiter. The recruiter gave me a chance to prove myself and enlisted me. I went from struggling to survive to having basic needs met. I went from focusing on my next meal or place to stay to believing in the Air Force core values and mission. I integrate the best of myself with the needs of the mission every day. Through this process, I have found a purpose for my life and a job I love. Today, I work in the Air Force as a MSgt in the Reserves and as a civil servant. The Air Force is a great place to live, work, and play!
