What a Wonderful Life

Working for the Air Force as a Civilian employee has been a wonderful experience. I began working for the Air Force in 2004 as a temp employee in Fayetteville, NC. When I initially took the job I really did not have any high expectations. Little did I know that this job would forever change the way I thought about work and challenage me to the very core of my being. I worked as an IT Manager for the base Services squadron. Each day I was faced with many challenges but my superivisor and coworkers belived in me and made me feel like I could do anything. When my contract expired and it seemed like they would not be able to pay me; I told my supervisor that I would volunteer my time. The Air Force taught me what I wanted to be when I grow up and for that I will forever be grateful.
