Yes, if they have PCSÕd to a forward location. Simply present a copy of your orders when picking up your DePLAYment Tag Pass Pack
My spouse was deployed before the program started. Can I get a pass?
Yes, in most cases. As a part of our Year of the Air Force Family program, we are extending the offer to families affected by deployment as of 1 Jul 09. Even if your sponsor has returned but was deployed in Jul 09 we will provide DePLAYment Tag Pass packs for you to help with the family reunification.

If your base offers programs for children under three, you may of course use your tag-pass for them. Plus you will receive up to 10 hours of hourly childcare per child. (All applicable Child Development Center (CDC) rules apply)
Are deployed Air National Guard families entitled to DePLAYment Tag Passes?
Yes, if the family is located near an active Air Force base. Due to the types of funding, your passes are only valid during the actual deployment.
Are deployed Air Force Reserve (AFR) families entitled to DePLAYment Tag Passes?
Yes, If your family is located near or on an active Air Force base they may use the passes for both: the family offerings and the youth classes, sports and hourly childcare. However, if you are located at an Air Force Reserve (AFR) installation, only family offerings are available through this program. The youth programs/classes and childcare is not offered at AFR installations.
AFR families may use the tag-passes after deployment.
IÕm Army/Navy or Marine, but my home stationed at an Air Force base. Can I get a DePLAYment Pass?
Yes, if you are officially assigned (home station) to the Air Force base and your family is located on or near an active Air Force base.
IÕm leaving the area during my spouseÕs deployment, but my neighbor wants to use my pass?

Your sponsor may bring in their orders to obtain a DePLAYment Tag-Pass pack. If your sponsor is already deployed, you may pick up your DePLAYment Tag Pass pack with a copy your sponsorÕs orders.

What are the benefits of a DePLAYment Tag Pass?
Your tag-pass may be used for programs, events, classes (value not to exceed (NTE $50) and sports (Value NTE $50) designed for youth and up to 10 hours of hourly childcare at your Child Development Center. You may also use the pass for free or discounted family programs identified at your local installation. Look for signs in FSS facilities indicating they have DePLAYment Tag-Pass programs.
Why does each member of the family have a DePLAYment Tag Pass?

My base does not offer youth classes or youth sports – can I use it for a youth or family event?
You may use your tag pass for any Force Support Squadron (FSS) program designed for children/families at any FSS activity and identified as a tag-pass program. You have a value of up to $50 in youth programs per child and $50 in youth sports that may be used for identified tag-pass programs. Look for specials on the www.myairforcelife.com and signs in the facilities for locations and programs.
We donÕt use Youth Programs on base. Can I get cash for the child and youth programs?
No, but if you do not use your tag pass for youth programs on base the remaining value stays with the installations so that they may offer locally developed discounts and programs for you and your family. Check the www.myairforcelife.com website on the ŌMy BaseĶ tab for local DePLAYment offers. Also be sure to sign up for emails so you can find out about the latest specials in your area. Rest assured the value of your unused benefits will be applied to programs supporting this initiative.
My children use the Child Development Center and School-Age Program every day. May I use the 10 hrs of hourly childcare to pay my normal fees?
Sorry, but the program allows for you to use your tag-pass for 10 hours of hourly childcare, not your regular care. This is designed to provide you and your spouse the opportunity to participate in programs offered on base.

Our FSS activities may offer tag-pass offers at any time. Go to www.myairforcelife.com and click on ŌMy BaseĶ tab for specials. Carry your tag-pass with you at all times to enjoy the full benefits of the program.
Do I receive 10 hours of hourly childcare per child?
Yes, each child is eligible for up to 10 hours of free hourly childcare, providing your installation offers this program and is operated by an Air Force Support Squadron (FSS). Unfortunately, any care provided by another branch of service at your installation will not apply.
IÕm going home to my parents during my spouseÕs deployment. Can I use my passes at another Air Force base?
Yes, go to the nearest Air Force base to pick up your pass if you plan to stay at that base during the program. You may only receive one pass. If you return to your home base, you will not be able to receive another pass.
Dual Air Force base cities- My spouse is assigned to Randolph AFB, but we live closer to Lackland and use their programs. Can we use our pass at either location?
Members that live in cities that have multiple Air Force bases located in and around it may use their pass at the base where their children are registered in Youth Programs. In this case you must pick up your DePLAYment pass at the base where you are registered instead of your assigned base.
IÕm at an Air Force base that is next to an Army base. The Army runs Youth Programs. Can I use my pass at the Army programs?
No, the Army/Navy/Marines will not accept a DePLAYment Tag Pass.
