Athletes selected for specialized training participate in trial camps or departmental-level Air Force Championship events. Trial camps are short in duration, but physically demanding, mentally challenging and highly competitive. 2015 Athletes Of The Year Named

Each year, the Air Force recognizes a female and male athlete of the year and winners are selected based on athletic accomplishments; value of contributions to the team or as an individual; non-athletic accomplishments; and the athletes preceding two years athletic accomplishments.
